The Titan's Gift by RadulfGreyhammer The Titan's Gift by RadulfGreyhammer
More space and nebula practicing. I'm getting better and better. This one actually came out alright.

If you look carefully at the nebula, you can see C'thulhu extending out his hand with that prism of pink light. Now that I've noticed it, it's all I can see now.

Here's a [link] of the figure outlined

Edit: saturated the colors, added moons, and sharpened the overall image like, 50 times. I think I finally have it where I want it now.

Edit: Ah! MUUUCH better. Added that simple blue light in the upper left part of the corner.

The big planet seems to be concave, and it looks like its behind the space scene rather than in front. Overall not a strong piece, but grats not crediting on stock!

The red "gift" is surprisingly close to one of my nebula stocks: [link]
The fact that you didn't credit me makes me wonder if everything else in this work is actually yours...

I love that Cthulhu is actually a vague outline in this picture. Takes it from another space scene to something more potent with haunting undertones. Good work, sir.

just compare with the one on the far right. And yes I did use cloud and texture methods to create them. :)

Unfortunately I'm still using the Cloud method(?) Where I place images of clouds I took/made over a base color and set the layer mode to either Soft Light, Overlay, or Color Dodge.

I haven't taught myself of a better way to do them yet, but hopefully I'll learn it soon.

This way is really frustrating at times.

Yeah, sort of.

The only difference is that I don't use such a wide variety (ha) of colors like him. I get a big fuzzy brush with a low opacity and paint down in random areas. Then I gaussian blur it so it's blended better.

It's really simple and doesn't yield the best results, but it kinda works.

Very warm mood to this, but the left area makes it seem empty, maybe if the large planet were more in the shot, or at a different angle. Otherwise its really well done. :)

very impressive. nebula and shapes (shade and light/bright) are very impressive. next time try to variate contrast and play with illuminated colours. for sure the lighting will then also work better ;)

Work with brighter colors? or a larger variety of bright colors? Yea, I need to start doing that. This is just about the first time I've used two colors on the same picture. The blue and pink.

Usually I stick with one main color and don't really stray from it. I've been trying to practice using more

I didn't intentionally make a figure in there, but I found C'thulhu holding out his hand as if presenting a gift. The gift would be the light prism/nebula thing.

Hmm, I can't seem to find that face image

Can someone help me with fixing this? DeviantART is making the picture look absolutely wrong, whilst Photoshop and my screen it looks as it should.

Any reasons as to why this is or how to fix it?
